Coconut Grove map and how to get there
From Honolulu, take the Pali Highway (61) to Kailua. Continue into Kailua town. Just past the intersection with a small bridge, you can turn left onto Kainehe Street or go straight and turn left onto Oneawa Street. The Coconut Grove neighborhood area includes Kihapai Street, Oneawa, Maluniu and Kawainui to Kalama Streets.

History of Coconut Grove
Much of Kailua was agricultural land 100+ years ago. Coconuts were a popular crop and Coconut Grove was filled with coconut trees back then. As development spread through Kailua in the 1940's, most of the trees were cut down to make room for homes.
