Some Aina Haina history
This neighborhood was named after Robert Hind, who operated a dairy in the 1930's and 40's. At that point in time, the entire Aina Haina valley was a dairy farm. Eventually the dairy shut down and Mr. Hind's son began residential development in the 1950's.
Aina Haina translates to "Land of the Hinds" in Hawaiian.
